lcg-CE_torque - Update to version 3.0.9-0
Date | 06.03.07 |
---|---|
Priority | Normal |
Description
This update fixes various bugs and updates Torque (2.1.6-1cri_sl3_2st) and Maui ( 3.2.6p17-1_sl3). For the full list of bugs, please see list below.
Important update note:
When upgrading to these packages from torque < 1.1
including the current LCG/EGEE deployed release your farm must be drained of
all jobs!
The database format for the jobs maintained by pbs_server has changed. To
close the queue and to drain it, you need to login to the Torque server and
run
qmgr -c "set queue
dteam enabled = False"
This is to close dteam queue and drain, for other
queues, please change dteam to its name.
Always make a backup of your pbs_server configuration.
# qmgr -c 'print
server' > qmgr-backup.conf
There is no change to the default behavior of scheduling that is deployed
for LCG.
However the configuration option
FSPOLICY DEDICATEDPS%
is now supported. The optional extra % enables a FS calculation of (1 -
used/allocated) as opposed to the old (allocated - used).
Please also have a look at the list of
known issues.
