gLite 3.0
gLite File Transfer Agents (FTA) for Oracle
The File Transfer Service (FTS) is a fabric service for file replication. It provides to sites a controllable and manageable way of serving the file transfer requests of their users. The site can control the amount of bandwidth used for each class of transfers together with the share given to each of its VOs. It allows the VOs to control the ordering of jobs and the failure policies to apply.
This is the File Transfer Agent (FTA) component of the File Transfer Service that processes the jobs and performs the transfers. It also provides VO specific plugins to manage VO policy for the transfers. For the second part of the FTS, please see the File Transfer Service (FTS).
This deployment module uses Oracle as the backend database.
